Adina and her mama Consuelo in Italy where Adina lived the life of the Princess she always deserved to be. The last months of her life were filled with love, comfort and happiness. When she was rescued by Charlotte no one knew her name or cared about her when she left this world to cross the bridge she was known and loved by so many people worldwide who grieved her passing. Adina will forever be in our hearts.

Such sadness at the untimely loss of this beautiful soul. Her passing has brought even more awareness in Canada to the plight of the galgos in Spain. She will always live on in our hearts.

On October 1, 2015, Jules came to us as a 7 month old pup, adopted with the hopes of becoming a Pet Therapy dog. Although he was a typical puppy when he came to us, he enjoyed growing up with the other hounds here who showed him the ropes of living in a home. When he turned one year old he started to mature just a little bit, and we could see he really had good potential of becoming a Pet Therapy dog.

In early July 2016 Jules started to get picky eating his food, and a checkup at the vet eventually showed that he was in kidney failure, determined to be because of an autoimmune disease. There was nothing that could be done to cure it, and because Jules continued to get sicker and to lose weight, putting him to sleep was the kindest thing we could do for him. On July 24, 2016, Jules was sent to the Rainbow Bridge, in the arms of his loving human Dad and Mom. He is sorely missed and will always be remembered.

This photo shows him on his favorite spot on the couch.
